Saturation controls how strongly colours differ from their grayscale intensity. Lower values make an image more muted, while higher values make existing colours more vivid.
Use a negative adjustment for subdued photographs, softer graphics, or a deliberately muted look.
Positive values amplify the colour component already present in each pixel. It does not invent a missing colour.
Very strong adjustments can push channels outside the 8-bit RGB range. FileTools clamps those values to 0–255.
